European Peace Walk
It remains crucial to remember and educate actors and groups about the events of the Holocaust. Upholding EU values, the memory of these crimes, teaching about fundamental rights and the active engagement of people to learn from our Past are necessary in modern Europe. Our Walkway will serve as an open Platform for Learning.
PeaceWalkers has partnered with Peace Museum Vienna. Situated in the very centre of Vienna, the Peace Museum which is now ten years old, will become a focal & information point for those about to set out on their peace walk.
Peacewalkers have the support of the International Centre for Education on Auschwitz and the Holocaust (ICEAH), which is part of the Auschwitz Memorial Museum in Poland. ICEAH will support Peacewalkers in sourcing the correct information on Auschwitz and the Holocaust, especially in making the Guidebook for the walkers. This support from ICEAH will ensure that he Guidebook is accurate in all its information on the Holocaust. ICEACH will also offer support to PeaceWalkers in creating multimedia, data collecting, study visits, guided tours, library & publications access, so that there is never any Holocaust distortion of facts along the Peace walk.
To create a new walkway independent from regional politics and interests is a massive undertaking. We welcome your support too: be it financial, press, media or information. Please contact PeaceWalkers below.
